Things get forgotten. Days like this don't.
Nobody remembers the sweater. They remember the fish that nearly pulled them out of the boat, the dolphins that swam alongside, and the people they were with. A charter is a gift they'll get to open twice: once when they hear about it, and again on the water.
An experience, not a thing
Four or eight hours on the water with the people they love, and a story they'll tell for years.
Their own private boat
No crowded party boat. Just their group, Captain Phil and the best water on the bay.
Nothing to bring but snacks
Rods, reels, bait, tackle and fishing licenses are all on board. Beginners and kids are welcome.
Phil handles the details
He reaches out to them, finds a date that works, and picks them up at a dock near them.
Good to know
Do they have to pay anything?
No. A gift is paid in full when you buy it, so there's no deposit and no balance due at the dock. That's the whole point: they just show up and enjoy it.
How do they schedule?
Once your payment comes through, Captain Phil emails them to set a date that works. He may call, too.
What's included?
A private charter with Captain Phil, plus rods, reels, bait, tackle and fishing licenses for everyone aboard. They just bring sunscreen, sunglasses and whatever they'd like to eat and drink.
Do they need fishing experience?
No. Phil teaches beginners and kids every week, and the trip is built around whoever is on the boat.
Where do they meet Phil?
For Tampa Bay trips, Phil picks up at 540 Bahia Beach Blvd. in Ruskin, Hook's Restaurant in Ruskin, Hula Bay or St. Petersburg Landing in St. Pete, and almost any dock with a pier. Key West lobstering meets in Key West. Phil sorts out the spot with them.
Can I buy a seasonal trip now?
Yes. Cast & Blast runs about Nov 21 to Jan 31, and Key West lobstering runs Jul 15 to Aug 31. Buy anytime, and Phil schedules it with them during the season.
What about weather?
Safety always comes first. If conditions look unsafe, Captain Phil will contact them about rescheduling.
Which trip should I pick?
For families and first-timers, a morning or afternoon trip is plenty. For serious anglers or a big celebration, go all day. For someone who wants a big fight, pick a specialty trip for shark, tarpon or goliath grouper. Not sure? Call Phil and he'll help you choose.
